İroko Lumber

Afrika’ dan ithal edilmiş, fırınlanmış olarak kullanılan egzotik bir ahşap türüdür. İroko ağacı, Afrika kıtasının çok şeitli yerlerinde yetişmekte fakat adını anavatanı olan Fildişi Sahili’nden alır. Botanik bilimsel ismi Miliciaexcelsa ve Milicia regina‘ dır. İroko ağacı Afrika’ nın farklı bölgelerinde örneğin Angola’ da, Moreira; Kamerun’ da, Abang; Gabon’ da, Mandji; Kongo’da, Kambala isimleriyle anılır. Yetişkin bir ağacın çapı 80cm ile 100cm arasındadır. Sertliğinden dolayı genelde dış mekan kullanımında tercih edilen bir ağaçtır.Özgül ağırlığı 0, 66 gr/cm3’tür.

Altın rengi ile kahve rengi tonları arasında kerestesinin yüzeyinde biraz daha açık tonuyla göze çarpan damarları oldukça şıktır.Bu güzelliği sayesinde mutfak tezgahlarından yer döşemelerime uzanan bir çok alanda tercih edilir.

İroko, dayanıklılık ve uzun ömür gerektiren dış mekan uygulamalarında, dekoratif üst yüzey kaplamalarda kesme kaplama levha olarak, mobilya, parke yapımında, binalarda iç ve dış kısımlarda, kapı, pencere imalinde, küçük gemi, vagon, bahçe mobilyası yapımında, zemin kaplaması olarak kullanılan uzun ömürlü bir ağaçtır.Özellikle dış mekan parkesi olarak kullanılır.

Özellikle yat ve tekne yapımında nemli dış mekan şartlarına uyum sağlayabildiği ve tik ağacına oldukça yakın dayanıklılık gösterebildiği için çokça tercih edilmektedir. Fiyatını da dikkate aldığımızda dünyadaki en dayanıklı ağaç türleri içinde tik ağacından sonra gelir denilebilir.Dayanıklılık gerektiren uygulamalarda, çok pahalı olan Asya Teak’ inin yerine adaydır. Ağır, yağlı ve yüksek yoğunluğa sahip olduğundan dolayı Teak ağacına en yakın alternatif olarak sunulmaktadır. Ancak fiyat olarak Teak ağacından daha hesaplı temin edilebilir.

İroko keresteyi, istediğiniz ölçüde ebatlandırdığımız gibi, fırın veya hava kurusu olarak 5 – 6,5 – 10 cm kalınlıklarda kereste olarak, ayrıca lambri ve decking döşemesi olarak da temin edebilirsiniz. Yüzeylerde doldurma ve temizleme yapıldığı taktirde mükemmel cilalama ya da yağlama mümkün olmaktadır.
